Who’s It For?

To help you get the most out of the coaching relationship, I have a few pre-requisites that you need to meet to be eligible to apply for coaching…

Athlete

Whether amateur or elite, my coaching service is exclusively for athletes who are focussed on improving performance. As a registered sport & exercise nutritionist, this is where my expertise and experience lies and where I can provide the most value to my clients. I’m not a dietician or doctor, so cannot provide medical advice.

Basic Nutrition Knowledge

Whilst a key goal of my coaching service is to develop your knowledge of sports nutrition, so you can be more autonomous in optimising your nutrition. To allow you to get the most out of coaching process you need to have a basic level of nutrition knowledge before applying. I.e. understand what the basic macronutrients are and ideally have some experience of tracking your intake.

Committed

I work on a one to basis with clients and provide you with comprehensive support. I invest a huge amount of time and effort into each client I work with and really care about their performances. As such my service is by no means the cheapest available and because of the time commitment to each athlete, I only support a small number of athletes. To allow you to get the most out of the service I need you to be able to commit time, effort and money for a minimum of three months.

Value Added.

What benefits can you expect to see from working with me?

Performance Gains

Through working together, you’ll see significant improvements to your performance as an athlete. What you eat has a huge impact on your performance and everything we’ll do is focused on allowing you to unleash those performance improvements through food.

Accountability

By working one-to-one with me as a coach and through our regular check-ins, I will provide you with the support and guidance to help you take action, prioritise your nutrition and keep focused on achieving your goals. Providing greater clarity, direction and confidence in what you need to do to use food to drive improvements as an athlete.

Education & Self Sufficiency

My ultimate goal through my nutrition coaching service is to educate you and develop your understanding of nutrition, to the point where you no longer need me. I do this through providing you with the ‘how’ and the ‘why’ behind the different strategies that we put in place, so with time you can become your own sports nutritionist.

Expertise

With three degrees along with countless time, effort and money spent on my development as a nutritionist, combined with over 10yrs experience working in sports nutrition. Working together allows you to tap into my depth of experience and expertise. As an evidence based practitioner, the advice I give is grounded in science and the most up to date sports nutrition research. I work hard to give you the best possible service.

Personalised & Periodised

To ensure you get the most out of it, everything we do is built around you as an individual; your lifestyle, your food preferences, your environment, your training plan and the nutrition challenges you face. I don’t simply provide generic meal plans or recommendations. I utilise a range of tools to help you get to where you want to be.

Efficiency

Quite simply, I aim to get you to your goal in the most efficient manner possible, saving you time, effort and money. From developing an understanding of you as an individual, I look to implement changes that will provide you with the greatest return for the least amount of effort, with absolute clarity as to what you need to do.

THE
PROCESS.

1. Baseline

Once you’ve read this page and are happy that my service is for you, complete the application form in the link below and I’ll be in touch to arrange a no obligation, free of charge coaching call. Off the back of this, if we’re a good fit and you’re happy to progress, I’ll forward you a payment link and coaching contract. We’ll then get to work, starting by completing some dietary analysis (using the latest software) over some representative days to get an idea of your current habits, food preference and highlight areas for improvement. We’ll also look to review your current lifestyle and training schedule to allow me to make individual recommendations based on your individual circumstances.

2. Planning

Once you’ve completed the dietary log and provided me with your training plan, I’ll get to work reviewing your dietary intake and putting a plan of action together for you. We’ll build a long term plan to ensure the nutrition focus complements your different phases of training and competition, before honing in on the finer details of each phase. For each training/competition phase we’ll formulate the, day by day, meal by meal plan required to compliment the what you’re trying to achieve. At the start of each phase I’ll provide a 7 day food plan individualised to your food preferences and your training, which we’ll update on a monthly basis, so you have a clear map of what we’re trying to achieve and what you need to do to achieve that. I’ll also provide you with advice on any relevant supplements and detail key approaches that each phase needs.

3. Implement

After you’ve had delivery of your plan it’s time to get stuck in implementing the changes we’ve highlighted so you can start seeing the benefits. For this stage you' won’t be alone. Whilst I’ll provide you with a clear plan of action, I’m on hand via email/WhatsApp to answer any questions you might have and support you in making changes.

4. Review, Feedback & Problem Solve

At the end of every 2 weeks, we’ll have a check-in on your progress over the phone/video call, where we review your progress, highlight success, review any issues and problem solve to keep you moving forward.

5. Repeat

After each review, we’ll return to the planning stage, developing on what we’ve learned from the last implementation period and tweaking the plan as necessary. Repeating the process until we’ve achieved what we set out too.
